What it is
A desktop app for recording and measuring your own investments: a Rust core for the figures, a desktop interface around it, and your portfolio in one file on your disk. Open source under the AGPL-3.0, free, with no account and no paid tier.
Written by someone who uses it
Every figure on this site comes from the same code the app runs, and the app tracks the author's own portfolio across several brokers and currencies. That is also why the rough edges are named rather than hidden: it is an alpha, and the pages say so.
Keep your broker statements, and check anything that matters against them. Stonqs records and measures; it never advises.
How these pages are written and checked
Each guide and post names the app version its steps were walked through in, and the date it was last checked. When the app moves on, the page is walked again or marked out of date; nothing here is restamped without a change a reader would notice.
Claims about figures carry the arithmetic or a primary source a reader can open: a standard, a data provider's own documentation, or a permalink into the code at a tag. Drafts are written with AI assistance and are read, checked and signed off by a person before they go live.
Getting in touch
Bugs, broker exports that will not import and questions all belong on GitHub, where the answer helps the next person too. By email: hello@stonqs.app.
